STEVEN HICKINBOTHAM JOINS TMBQ AS LEAD VOCALIST
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (08/25/2008)

Little Rock, AR – Change is never easy, and it seems just when you get the bus pointed in the right direction, change is right around the corner. The Melody Boys Quartet announces Steven Hickinbotham has come on board as lead vocalist. Steven will be filling the position that is being vacated by Terry Robertson.

Terry has decided to come off the road. The Melody Boys Quartet will miss his beautiful, resonate voice. Terry is as fine a Christian man as you will find. The Quartet’s increase in singing dates will cause him to be away from his home church (where he serves as a deacon) more than he wishes. That, along with wanting to be a full-time grandfather to his new twin grandsons, led to this difficult decision.

Steven is a native of Thayer, MO. He majored in vocal music during his college years in Nashville, TN. He has been a Christian since age five and began singing during high school and college. In recent years he has served in church music. Steven joined The Melody Boys Quartet August 24th in Smithville, TN. He joined Gerald, Caleb, and Tim in the recording studio on Monday the 25th and is already proving himself to be a WONDERFUL asset to TMBQ.

TMBQ wishes the best that God provides for Terry Robertson and family! They also want to welcome Steven Hickinbotham to The Melody Boys Quartet!

Tim Williams (tenor) quotes, "I'm extremely excited to be with this agency, and look for God to do great things. Talking with Ms. Brannin was a true blessing. Friends and fans of The Melody Boys Quartet know what fun it can be to load up the family car and head to your local Wal-Mart, K-Mart or local dime store (do they still have dime stores where you are at, or with inflation, are there only dollar stores?). Imagine what fun it can be when all four "family" members sing in a quartet and you are trying to get pictures suitable for the web, pictures for the product table, and to promote the group online , in newspapers and on the web.

On April 30th, TMBQ went to Wharton Photography in Mt. Juliet, TN to have pictures taken with new tenor Tim Williams. You may have noticed the new group shot and singles on the front of the web. Click on the photograph on the left to see some of the one's that did not get "posted" or used. Can you figure out it wasn't the photographer's fault?

SILVER EAGLE BUS FOR SALE
For Immediate Release (02/03/2008)

The Melody Boys Quartet recently had the opportunity to lease a larger, newer bus. This was quite a necessity due to the extended trips that they take throughout the year. Therefore, the Silver Eagle that served them so well for 12 years is now for sale. The Eagle is in excellent condition, dependable, and would be ideal for a family to use for travel as a motor home or for a traveling singing group. It would take a great deal of space to list all of the amenities that the Eagle possesses; therefore, we will simply provide a “laundry list” of some of the most important and useful characteristics. We will soon have pictures on the website, so that you can see the bus. You can also e mail Gerald Williams at tmbqbass@aol.com or call him at 501-247-6846 if you are interested in learning more about the bus. TMBQ is asking $40,000 for the Sliver Eagle. Please help us provide this information to individuals who are interested in buying a bus.

The following is a listing of some of the most important features. The bus is a 40 foot Silver Eagle 1969 model with the conversion in 1989 (1969/1989); 30,000 miles on a rebuilt engine; a new professional paint job that is approximately a year old; central heat / air; side aisle with 4 bedrooms for individual privacy; air assist steering; 15KW Kubota power plant; new steering tires on front; 2/3 tread on all tires; shower & commode; front lounge equipped with microwave, TV, VCR, DVD / CD player. Due to space constraints this is simply an overview of the Silver Eagle. Please contact Gerald Williams for more information.

TMBQ ON YAHOO GROUPS (ADDED 3/14/2006)
The Melody Boys Quartet, in an effort to control the Guest Book content, has created a page on Yahoo Groups. Yahoo Groups is e-mail based and requires you to join in order to receive e-mails. This takes the place of the Guest Book, which in the past has been plagued with malicious spam.

Currently, membership is set to "Open." This means membership is open to anyone and does not have to be invited or approved. Messages are also sent without being approved. However, in the event of content which is not appropriate being sent via this list, those settings will be changed. You can click on the link (above left)  to join. You may be prompted to create a profile if you have not done so already.

The actions of a few malicious spammers have caused us to take this action. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you, the fan.  However, the benefits will make it worth the effort. There are several options which we plan to utilize in the future including chat, and the opportunity to conduct online polling of the membership. If you have questions, feel free to contact the web master. His address is below. This will also allow your web master (or designated Moderators) to log in from any computer and remove messages which are not appropriate.
